1/25/2006 Former Wall Street Journal columnist is guest speaker
This morning thirty-five professional services providers gathered for breakfast at the Doylestown County Club to network and to hear Foster Winans discuss 'business ethics".

Foster Winans began his journalism career at The Intelligencer newspaper in Doylestown in 1968 and ended it fourteen years later at The Wall Street Journal when he became entangled in an insider trading scheme that evolved into a hotly debated Supreme Court case. Since serving nine months in federal prison in 1988, he has written or ghosted 20 books and become a commentator on ethics in business on national television news programs, to academic and business groups, and on the op-ed pages of the New York Times and the Christian Science Monitor. In 1998 he returned to his roots by founding The Writers Room of Bucks County, a nonprofit resource center located for seven years in the center of Doylestown. His company, Prose & Pictures, Inc., provides custom editorial, publishing, and marketing services to authors.

Attendees at today's special invitation event included Philadelphia area attorneys, accountants, wealth managers, insurance brokers, and investment advisors. Tower Hill Advisors sponsors these breakfasts in the spring and fall each year to thank those professionals who have provided services, referrals or introductions to clients and prospective clients of Tower Hill Advisors.

The professionals benefit by attending through the extention of their network of contacts and learn skills useful to them and to their clients. Some topics presented by experts at past sessions have included family-business succession planning, the use of emotional intelligence ( EQ ) in client relations, and the process of invention.
